  • What advantages do I have as an openpack partner through the hub?
For partners, the openpack hub offers standardized interfaces and data that enable fast integration of partner solutions and ensure easy scaling to other plants.
  • What advantages do I have as an openpack user of the platform through the hub?
As a user of the platform, you benefit from using the hub as a data hub. This means that all systems only have to be connected to the hub once (direct connections between the individual third-party systems are no longer required). This reduces personnel expenses and implementation costs. After the connection, all available data can be passed on to the desired systems quickly and easily. This increases the usability of the data and increases productivity.
  • What is the openpack hub?
The openpack Hub serves as the central basis for the collection, standardization and distribution of data on the openpack platform.
  • Can only openpack solutions be used with the hub?
No! In addition to the openpack solutions offered, such as the Digital Factory or oProcurement, any third-party systems can be connected to the hub via defined interfaces in order to exchange data between them.
  • Do I have to connect my systems to the openpack hub myself?
Customers have two options for connecting their systems to the openpack Hub. On the one hand, they can carry out the connection themselves. On the other hand, they can fall back on partners of the openpack platform to take over connections or subsequent networking.
  • Do I have to be registered on openpack to use condition monitoring?
Yes, you need an account on openpack to use condition monitoring. Simply register here
  • Can the email notification be customized so as not to overflow the inbox?
Yes, that is possible. In his profile, the user can set the severity levels for which he would like to receive an e-mail notification. For example, he can indicate that he only wants to receive an email for the severity level "Incident". There is also an option to completely disable email notifications, which is also possible in the profile.
  • What is condition monitoring?
Condition Monitoring is a feature within the Digital Factory. It allows you to set certain conditions that will notify you when they occur. For example, you could be notified when energy consumption is exceptionally high while there is no production, such as the night shift.
  • How will I be notified?
The user receives an e-mail with the information that the respective condition has become active. In addition, he also receives a notification on openpack.
  • How do I achieve condition monitoring on the openpack platform?
To use Condition Monitoring, you need to get to the Digital Factory. The Digital Factory is a special application developed by openpack.
  • How do I create a condition?
To create a condition, simply click on "Create Condition". Enter a title for the condition and select the severity level. You can set the severity level depending on the type of condition you want to create. You can choose between Malfunction, Warning or Information. The central part of the creation process is the definition as a rule. You can choose from several variables available through openpack. First you select a machine for which the rule should apply. For example: corrugator, rotary die cutter, FKM. Then you can choose from the available variables for the selected machine, such as machine status, speed or power consumption. With these variables you can create rules, such as "Machine status = unscheduled stop", "Speed < 50 m/min" or "Power consumption > 200 kW". You can also extend the rules with a time component, such as "Power consumption of corrugator for 30 minutes > 200 kW". The rules can also be limited to a certain period of time, for example "Power consumption of corrugator for 30 minutes > 200 kW from Monday to Friday always between 22:00 and 06:00 (night shift)". After the rule is created, you can specify a description and a proposed solution.
  • When will I be notified?
The user will be notified when a rule he created becomes active. For example, if the power consumption of the corrugator is > 200 kW for at least 30 minutes on Tuesday at 03:00 am, the user will receive a notification.
  • Can I also see the conditions of my colleagues?
Yes, under the "All Conditions" tab you can see all the conditions that have been created in your plant. You even have the option to add your colleagues' conditions to your own conditions. This way you will receive notifications even if you did not create the condition yourself. Of course, your colleagues can also see all your conditions.
  • What is a condition?
A condition is a state defined by the user. As soon as this condition occurs, you will be notified both on the openpack platform and by email. It can be an alarm, a warning or simply information.
